Web Sharing for Messenger
by Jonathan Kay [MVP]

What does it do?
Web Sharing for Messenger allows you to share web pages with your contacts in a frame next to your conversation window.  Instead of simply sending links and needing to open each one in a web browser, by leaving Web Sharing open you can simply send links as per normal and Web Sharing will automatically load them.  As well, you can send a web page by using the web address bar within Web Sharing, and see whether or not your contact has completed loading the page.

Why is everything grayed out?
Until your contact connects to you, the address bar and buttons will appear grayed out.

Why do I get JavaScript and ActiveX errors on some sites?
The Web Sharing pane is actually more "locked down" than your normal browser and does not allow JavaScript, Java, ActiveX or many of the other technologies used on various pages.  As such, in situations where the authors of the web sites you're trying to visit have not anticipated for browsers with these features deactivated you may see a dialog informing you of the problem.  These dialogs can be safely ignored.

Is any information tracked?
No, your own computer goes directly to the various web pages you visit, no proxy or tracking server is involved.
